New content

This section is reserved for users to know what to do when new content is added to the website.

New songs

  • New songs are generally announced on the first page or can be easily seen in the FFR Song List.
  • 1. Add a news.
  • 2. Create the page and add the latest version of the song template. Follow the instructions there if you're unsure what to do. Don't forget the corresponding genre categories and File released in YEAR category. You can alternatively use this template available here (contact DossarLX ODI if it is down).
  • 3. Add the song to its/their respective artist.
  • 4. Add the song to its/their respective simfile authors.
  • 5. (optional) Add information about this song (history, tips, screenshots) and fill the infobox.

New artist

  • Conditions to add new artist are as follow : the artist must have a song in the game or given permission to use its music. Artists with denied permissions shouldn't be added.
  • 1. Create the page and add the latest version of the musician template. Follow the instructions there if you're unsure what to do. Don't forget the corresponding genre and location categories. If the user is registered on FFR, you should add the ffr user category.
  • 2. (optional) Add information about this artist (biography, discography, permission) and fill the infobox using icons if necessary.

New user

  • Conditions to add a new user are as follow : the user must either have a stepfile in the game, be a staff member or made a noticeable impact in the community. Alt accounts shouldn't have their separate page and must redirect to the main account.
  • 1. Create the page and add the latest version of the user template. Follow the instructions there if you're unsure what to do. Don't forget to add the corresponding location category. Note : if the user is a musician, you should use instead the musician template.
  • 2. (optional) Add information about this user (biography, ffr career, tournaments, promotions, etc.) and fill the infobox using icons if necessary. You can use this profile as an example.
  • Important note : do NOT add personal information that can't be found outside the realm of FFR unless it was agreed by the user in question.

New genre

  • 1. Create the genre category and add the latest version of the genre template.
  • 2. Add a description and cite your sources. Priorize content from Wikipedia. You can copy paste the information using this template : {{Wikipedia|GENRE}}.
  • 3. Add the correct parent genre. If you're unsure, you can add it to the uncategorized category.
  • 4. Add a redirection using the same name of the genre (and different AKAs). Add the music genres category. That will make those pages directly accessible from the search bar.

New tournament

  • Tournaments can be easily tracked on the front page. It is recommended to add the tournament page once they begin and finish filling the information once they have ended.
  • 1. Add a news.
  • 2. Create the tournament using the latest version of the tournament template. Follow the instructions there if you're unsure what to do.
  • 3. (optional) Add information about this tournament (description, winners, etc.) and fill the infobox. You can as well add a {{stub}} mention if it's incomplete.
