Lolicore is characterized by heavily distorted or high-pitched loli vocals and extreme tempos frequently accompanied by techno beats. Songs are short, usually lasting around two minutes and some are even seconds long. "Loli" vocals are normally accomplished in a number of ways, either by speeding up a normal sounding voice or song to sound more high pitched, using already "child-like" samples, sampling from anime, or chopping/slicing vocals and making them high-pitched. Lyrical themes range from lolicon to Japanese culture to anime, and so on. Fast drum beats provide, along with the use of samples, a constant barrage of noise. Lolicore is mainly influenced by speedcore, as well as samples added to songs.[1]
